NARA now live streaming "Know Your Records" lectures on YouTube & they are FREE

NARA continues to make resources available to you in the comfort of your home!

Starting tomorrow, NARA (in DC) will be live-streaming selected Know Your Records lectures on their YouTube channel.  The NARA experts will talk about its holdings, from ship's logs to civil rights court cases to frakturs, to help you get started and go deeper in your research in the National Archives.

For all February programs, go to
http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/events/february.html.  For each of the programs designed with William G. McGowan Theater & YouTube, click on the provided YouTube link and that will give you access, when the time comes, to the live stream for that program.

The upcoming planned “Know Your Records” programs which will be simulcast on YouTube are:
+ Gateway to Freedom: The Hidden History of the Underground Railroad (February 3)
+ Forum on the Rosenberg Case (February 5)
+ 50th Anniversaries of Voting Rights (February 12)
+ Redemption Songs: Suing for Freedom before Dred Scott (February 13)
+ 88 Days to Kandahar: A CIA Diary (February 17)
+ Protecting America’s Treasures: Black History in the Vault (February 24)
+ Madison’s Gift: Five Partnerships that Built America (February 25)
+ A Chosen Exile: A History of Racial Passing in American Life (February 27)

To find out about future programs, go to the same page and check the left-hand navigation bar to see when March Events are listed.  You will need to check back each month or you can signup for the FREE monthly newsletter and calendar of events as produced by the National Archives Museum and have the information delivered to your fingertips! The calendar includes the above-mentioned programs.

I can’t wait to see what is offered in March!
