P.S. If you happen to stumble across a John Walker Neilson (Limerick and Dublin connections) and find any info about his father, I’d love to hear from you! He is the brother of George (both born Scotland, though George moved to Oldham Lancashire while John moved to Ireland for several years and eventually returned to Scotland). John Walker Nelson lived in Limerick working as a Watch Maker for a few years before marrying and moving. He is listed in the 1877-1884 directories of Limerick on Westland Street. You can learn more about George and John via Scottish Case Study: The Nelson Family and Irish Made Easy: The Irish Family History Foundation (a bit about searching into John’s children) and this addendum to a larger research summary where an envelope (no letter enclosed) actually led to the death place of John and the married name of a sibling.
