Women's History Month -- Resources to help you research the women in your family!

Every March is Women’s History Month!  As genealogists and family historians we are always researching women! 

Here are some resources you might want to check out:

• Women’s History Month 2013: 31 Sources for Researching Female Ancestors (Gena’s Genealogy – a new resource each day of the month of March)
• Fearless Females: 31 Blogging Prompts to Celebrate Women’s History Month (The Accidental Genealogist) – you will find that many bloggers will “celebrate” the month by using these prompts
• Celebrate Women’s History Month by Finding Female Ancestors and Tips for Finding Female Ancestors (Family Tree Magazine)
• Proquest – includes free access to The Gerritsen Collection and select Historical Newspapers
• The National Women’s History Project
• Women’s History Month (several government entities including the Library of Congress and the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration)
