FREE access to Fold3 and its Black History Collection

As we celebrate “Black History Month” (aka African American History Month) it’s not unusual for some of the pay subscription genealogy databases to make select databases accessible for free.

Fold3 is providing free access to its Black History Collection.

A resource which is available for free year round is African American History Month (NARA, LOC, etc).

As you celebrate “Black History Month,” check out these recent Upfront with NGS posts which have relevance:
·    African American Oral History, guest post by Sharon Leslie Morgan (links at bottom take you to 3 additional posts by this author)

Do you know of other pay subscription genealogy databases that are providing free access to help us celebrate “Black History Month?”

Are there any new African American focused collections coming online?
