Flipboard Magazine ... a format for the very visual in our family history community

If you are new to Upfront with NGS or missed the post about the Flipboard version of this blog, let’s revisit this alternative platform.

First, please do read Flipboard Magazines for Genealogy – a blossoming new platform. There are probably even more genealogically-themed publications than identified.

Second, consider that the classic blog format is a string of vertically placed posts that you scroll down to read.  Flipboard provides a platform that operates more like a magazine (or book) where you click to flip the pages.  When you see an article title (with image), you can select that title and then you will be taken to the full post.

Third, there are currently almost 190 articles available via the Upfront with NGS Flipboard Magazine.  So, this platform can be a very quick, easy and visual way to catch up on past posts to the blog.  Going forward, typically within a few hours of any post to Upfront with NGS, there is a link posted to the Flipboard Magazine version.

Fourth, you can download a FREE App to use with your iPad, iPhone, Android, Kindle Fire &/or Nook.

So, if you are a more visual person or don’t like to scroll, this might become a viewing option for Upfront with NGS. As always though, you can access the blog via the blog web site, scheduled emails via Feedburner (3pm each day a post is made – you can sign up via the blog web site), Facebook, Google+, and/or Twitter.
