scvngr -- Have Fun & Receive a 15% Discount at the NARA Shop!

Next time you are in DC to visit the archives, you can have some “fun” with a scavenger hunt and net yourself a 15% discount on a purchases at the National Archives Shop!  The posted Trek is “The Civil War”
“Dive into the Civil War-era records of the National Archives while walking along historic 7th St NW, then visit the Archives on 7th and Constitution Ave!”

The scavenger hunt is set up on scvngr which has both Iphone and Android apps (as well as instructions for playing via sms or on other platforms).  As the site says … Go places … Do challenges … Earn points!  There are scavenger hunts set up all over the country on this site! This Google map interface let's you know who/where there are scavenger hunts being built on scvngr.

We’d love to hear from anyone who participates, whether in the NARA one or another!  Please drop us a comment here or on FB! Was it easy to use? Did you have fun?  Did you earn a great reward?
