The National Institute for Geneal ogical Studies has announced that they will be offering a free course on Social Media. Social Media for the Wise Genealogist is a six week course for students who are interested in learning how social networking can help them as genealogists. It will run starting 4 April and 2 May, 2011 . The methodology behind using social network sites will be discussed.
Do note that there is required course text which is not Free -- Social Networking for Geneal ogists (Baltimore , Maryland neal ogical Publishing Company, 2009) by Drew Smith.

ReplyDeleteI checked the website. . .Says it is $89; how does one register for free as you say.
ReplyDeleteNote that the original post on this course was for 2011 -- I suspect that they offered it free initially to introduce it and that now it has a fee associated with it.
