Warning: Unauthorized Hotel and Housing Solicitations -- NGS Las Vegas Conference

NGS has been alerted to a problem affecting NGS and other trade show exhibitors. Businesses that have no business relationship with the LVH are calling exhibitors and posing as wholesale vendors who provide conference vendors with hotel rooms at deeply discounted rates. One NGS exhibitor explained, “It just seemed too good to be true.” After she researched the company, she became concerned and forwarded their information to NGS. The LVH—Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is issuing a cease-and-desist letter, and we are alerting you.

Neither NGS nor the LVH will call you to solicit your reservation. Companies that have no business relationships with the LVH that have contacted our exhibitors include Global Housing Services Corporation and VHS Housing Services. For your own protection, do not make reservations through an unknown housing or travel company.

If you are or have been approached by a third-party company purporting to sell you a room at the LVH for the NGS conference, do not give them your credit card information unless you determine for certain that the company has a business relationship with the LVH. Otherwise, you may lose the charges you authorize and you will not have a room at the LVH. Instead, collect the name of the business and ask the caller to send you their forms. Please forward the materials to NGS Conference Manager, Erin Shifflett, at [email protected]. With your permission, we will forward the forms to the LVH so they can build a profile of these companies.
