Good news for those adopted
in New Jersey . Starting in 2017, an adult
adoptee will be able to request a copy a non-certified copy of their original
birth certificate. Parents may choose to
have their names redacted.
Additionally, such a document cannot be used to request vital records or
other information about their parents.
Adoptees will need to use other records to further their research.
