Not all of us were able to attend
Rootstech or even to catch the real-time streamed sessions. Fortunately, Rootstech is the conference (aka
gift) that keeps on giving.
Additionally, I
know of at least two “stakes” in my community who over the next 1-2 months are
holding family history
fairs where the majority of the
programming will be based on re-broadcasting Rootstech sessions. This is a neat way to bring national speakers
into the local community. And, for the
two I know of being held in the RTP area of NC, admission is free. Additionally, one of them is setting up
tables during the lunch break for local genealogy societies and interested
parties to use.
If English isn’t
the predominant language in your community that’s not a problem, you might find
that after 1 April, your family history fair can accommodate Rootstech sessions
in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese,
and Korean.
